Moto G32: Style
At first glance, the Moto G32 is just another typical Motorola smartphone. This indicates that the phone seems basic and uncomplicated, not that it looks awful. I was sent the Mineral Grey color out of the two available hues for review. I enjoyed how the device felt and looked in my hands. Its plastic back panel is curved and nearly slick to the touch. The rear features the Motorola emblem and branding, with a tiny camera module shaped like a square in the upper left corner. The module has an LED flash and three lenses.
The Moto G32’s frame has a distinct texture that makes it comfortable to hold, even though the back feels slick. The phone never feels heavy in your hand, even though using it with one hand is nearly impossible due to the tall display. It weighs 184 grams.
There are thin bezels on the top, sides, and chin of the 16.51 cm display on the front of the device. A selfie lens is in the center of the screen, at the top. While the left side features a dual SIM tray, the right edge is home to the power button and volume rockers. A microphone is situated on the upper edge, while the lower edge is equipped with a speaker grille, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microphone. In addition to a separator between the volume rockers, the buttons on the right edge are tactile. Along with a micro-USB card that allows memory expansion to 1TB, the tray can hold two SIM cards.
Additionally, the Moto G32 is covered in terms of external protection because it has an IP52 rating for resistance to dust and water.
Moto G32: Screen & Sound
The display is a crucial component for gamers and binge-watchers in the modern era. This is why large displays are included with even inexpensive smartphones. The 6.5-inch FHD+ display on the Moto G32 adds even more to the device’s allure for immersive gaming and video watching. You can feel this display’s smooth, fluid scrolling experience because it has a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Although it fell out of my hand once, the device did not sustain any scratches while using Panda Glass 3 (a.k.a. Gorilla Glass 3) to protect the display. While the colors, particularly the reds, appear slightly enhanced, watching the content is an okay experience. Although not particularly bad, the viewing angles were still a little off. Other than that, it was fine. The peak brightness of 600 nits became problematic in extremely bright sunlight. Netflix and Amazon HD movie playback were used to test the smartphone’s Widevine L1 compatibility.
Moto G32: Rear camera
The rear of the Moto G32 is equipped with three cameras. It has a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Additionally, there is a 16MP selfie lens.
The primary sensor produced well-lit, detailed images with good lighting in the daytime. Both the shadows and the subjects were exposed correctly; neither were overexposed. Other than distant objects lacking detail, the images are good.
However, although the 8MP ultrawide camera captures a large field of view, the images are highly noisy and lack detail. The colors were washed out, and the edges were distorted.
Given its limited use, the 2MP Macro lens does not serve many purposes. In addition to being blurry at times, the images lack details. Avoid using this lens unless necessary for very close-up photography. Additionally, there is poor edge detection.
Performance of the Moto G32
The Moto G32 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset with eight cores and an Adreno 610 GPU. The processor performs admirably, along with 4GB of RAM. Applications operate without hiccups and load quickly.
Switching between demanding games and social media apps presents a challenge, even though the device can handle nearly all apps and games. Playing demanding games like COD: Mobile or Free Fire requires shutting down all open apps because this bug is only caused by insufficient RAM. In any case, running multiple apps simultaneously is also possible for Google, Twitter, and WhatsApp.
Motorola G32: Battery
Nowadays, a 5000mAh battery is reasonably standard in this price range for smartphones like the Moto G32. I browsed the internet, took pictures, and binge-watched content for over seven hours on the device. Depending on usage, the battery can run on a single charge for more than a day.
The box contains a 33W fast charger, which is reasonably good considering that most devices under $15,000 include 10, 18, or 20-watt adapters. The 33W charger charged the device entirely in approximately one hour and ten minutes.
Conclusion
In daily life, the Moto G32 functioned flawlessly as a primary device. Its design is simple, yet it has a long battery life and quick charging. Though you can’t expect everything to be top-notch in a smartphone that costs 12,000 rupees, the RAM and ROM are on the lower side, and there is no 5G connectivity. If you’re searching for a device that can play demanding games, the Moto G32 might not be your best option.
However, it might be a good fit if you need a primary device for everyday use. This smartphone’s triple camera setup and 90Hz refresh rate are excellent features, but if you require more RAM and ROM, go elsewhere.
